There is a young person seeking direction on this road we call life without a GPS. Some people say this is the lost generation. If they are lost ir is because many do not have direction and make the wrong choices. The road we take in life has many exits. Well, Exit YEPAW will lead to intentional, purposed and planned excellence.
YEPAW, Youth Excellence Performing Arts Workshop has been held throughout many facilities throughout Akron. This year the workshop was held at the Akron STEM High School. Leslie Parker Barnes, Founder and Executive Director YEPAW, shares her dedication, motivation and inspiration in expecting excellence in Akron area youth through performing arts for the past 23 years.
Previously known as the Youth Excellence Gospel Choir, YEPAW was founded in 1990 in the basement of the Arlington Church of God with 50 to 60 children. This year over 300 participated in the YEPAW workshop.
